Directions for use: Clean surface thoroughly with The Prep and allow to dry. Shake or stir paint well, then apply using a quality, soft bristle brush (such as nylon) in a smooth and steady back and forth motion to create uniform coverage. Do not use a chip brush to apply unless you are dry brushing or going for a rustic look.  Do not use a foam brush. Paint can be applied using a roller or sprayer for larger projects (thinning appropriately for the sprayer.) Most projects require 2 coats to achieve full coverage. Dry time between coats is 20-60 minutes. Paint will be fully cured in 3-4 weeks.

Pro Tip: Apply enough paint to allow for self-leveling.  Avoid over-working the paint. You can use a light mist spray bottle to add moisture to the paint and keep it "moveable" until you get it just right. The added moisture will aid the self-leveling.   You can use chalkboard paint by seasoning the "chalkboard" side using a piece of chalk. 

Personalize your project with glaze (available in soft white, antique brown, or classic black), Rethunk Gunk (decoupage medium), stencils, transfers, or stamps.  You can also distress your piece using a sanding block or power sander. The lower the grit, the more product you will remove.

Protect your finished piece with Flat Top (eggshell finish), Tuff Top (satin finish), or W.A.S.H. (wax alternative sealer hardener) available in 4 colors: Vintage White, Warm Stone, Rich Brown, or Black Pearl). We do not recommend waxing because it isn't water based, can be difficult to use, and must be reapplied every 6 months and completely removed before refinishing. It is not recommended to seal outdoor projects because the sealant isn't formulated for outdoor use
